Here is an easy and economical way to protect bench-tops, tabletops, fume hoods, work surfaces around microscopes and microtomes, acid cabinets, etc. Bytac® is made of an overlay of FEP film bonded to a support backing of vinyl or aluminum. The backing is coated with a pressure- sensitive, acrylic adhesive, which peels off all surfaces easily and cleanly. Bytac® protects surfaces against absorption of toxic or radioactive chemicals. The surface cleans easily by wiping with a damp sponge or towel. Two backing materials are available on the Bytac® surface protectors. Vinyl backing is for general purpose applications ranging in temperature up to 93° C (200° F). For higher temperature applications from 93° C (200° F) to 182° C (360° F) use the Bytac® with aluminum backing. Both versions come in 15’ lengths which cut easily with scissors into the correct size for any application.
